PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Everest Trade Paints - Ultimate Slate Sealer is a durable, quick-drying, impregnating sealer for use on Indian sandstone, natural stone, limestone, granite and slate.
Its highly effective impregnating formula means that this sealer provides a durable, long-lasting (lifespan of up to 5 years) coating with excellent water repellency, stain and algae resistance and great wear resistance while also providing a premium satin finish to the surface.
This product enhances the colour of the patio while protecting the surface from staining, UV light, mould and algae growth and will increase abrasion resistance while also protecting the pointing of the patio from erosion and weed infestation to reduce maintenance.
Easy to apply by a roller or sprayer, gives additional protection to your patio slabs.
USES AND SURFACE COMPATIBILITY
Suitable for use on interior and exterior surfaces made from Indian sandstone, natural stone, limestone, granite and slate.
Not to be used on areas grouted with Easy grout or other resin-based grouts.
SPECIAL PROPERTIES
It is easily cleaned and will withstand regular washing. Also resistant to most stains and oils.
SPREADING RATE
- First coat: Approximately 5 square meters per litre.
- Second coat: Approximately 7 square meters per litre.
This is a rough estimate and varies depending on the condition of the patio/surface and the amount applied with each coat.
DRYING TIME
Under normal conditions, Sealer is touch dry in approximately 2-4 hours.
Do not drive on the surface for 24 hours after the last coat.
SURFACE PREPARATION
Ensure all surfaces to be sealed are clean, dry and free from oil, efflorescence and grease.
This product is not suitable if surfaces have been treated previously with a silicon or stearate based water repellent
If applying on exterior surfaces, please ensure no rain is forecast and the surface is completely bone dry before application.
APPLICATION
Brush, Roller, or Sprayer.
Always test a small area before use to ensure compatibility and that the finished result is acceptable
Do not pour the product directly onto the surface of the paving
Apply in thin, even coats to avoid any issues with the finish and to prevent problems with whiteness.
Make sure the surface is 100% dry and free from any moisture or contaminants before application. Do not apply if there is any chance of rain.
Do not allow the product to pool or the final appearance may not be even in colour on the paving to be enhanced and sealed.
STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
Store away from heat and flames. Secure the lid between uses to prevent sealer hardening. Store away from frost.
THINNERS
Thinners aren't required with this product, warm soapy water can be used for cleanup.

The sealer was easy to use with a roller. We gave it 2 coats and it’s brought the colours of the stone out beautifully without it looking false. Nice satin finish. It’s good to know our patio is now protected and should look lovely for many years. The only thing is, as it went on thinly, I need only have bought just the one tin. I hope I can send the other one back.

I wasn't very impressed when I opened the tin, VERY watery, looks and feels like skimmed milk BUT it does the job!
Touch dry within an hour but I left it for the suggested 24 hours before applying a second coat.
Goes a VERY long way, still have 2/3rds of a tin left!
Pretty expensive but it does the job.
Used to seal a new slate garden path, brings out the colour of the tiles beautifully and leaves a nice subtle sheen.

Really pleased with the product and got a great result when I applied to my new slate patio and pathways. Hoping it lasts as long as it states it will. 4 * given due to lack of packing of the product - there was none! Paint pot delivered with a very badly applied taped seal only. Didn’t fill me with confidence. Would recommend product but do look to improve your shipping practices.

We have used a variety of sealants but found this easy to apply, quick to dry with a great satin finish that made our slates look great. Will certainly buy again as best sealant we have found to date.

Delivery on-time packaged well...third tin definitely recommend the 5 litre tin as it's great value. Went on a dream does soak in well and looks great 😃

4 years had faded our black slate to a dirty grey. After jet washing it, the 1st coat made a significant effect, the 2nd brought it back to its original colour.

Great product that is easy to apply and leaves a perfect satin finish enhancing the natural finish of the slate. Does what it says on the tin
